Manufacturing Process
Our manufacturing process has four main areas, the first of which is surfacing. Surfacing is where we take semi-finished lenses and process a prescription into the back side, which involves cutting and polishing the plastic lens. Next, we have Anti-Reflective coating, where we use vacuum-sealed chambers to deposit micro-thick layers of coating on the lenses. Our Quality Assurance (QA) happens throughout the processes, and is an ongoing part of the life cycle of a lens. Finishing is where we take the uncut lens and cut it to a specific shape, then insert it into a frame.
